What we are looking for. . .
We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to monitor the quality and performance of software developments through production to provisioning and delivery.
As a QA Engineer, you will work closely with the product and software teams to help identify and resolve any software or deployment issues to ensure we continually deliver effective and reliable communication at all times.
Location. . .
We welcome applications from candidates based in either Porto, Portugal or Bracknell, Berkshire.
This is an
- based vacancy and as such we expect all applicants to be willing to commute to our offices a minimum of 3-4 days per week as per our hybrid working policy.
Key responsibilities within the role. . .
Plan
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Create detailed, comprehensive and
- structured test plans and test cases. - Estimate, prioritise, plan and coordinate testing activities.
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools.
- Liaise with internal teams (e. g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
Test
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
- Perform manual testing and building automated tests.
Resolve and Document
- Investigate the causes of
- conforming software and resolve issues. - Train users to implement solutions.
- Maintain test results.
- Produce training documentation/guidance as required to avoid recurrence of defects/issues identified in the QA process.
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
About you. . .
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject.
- Good experience of working in a software QA role.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- Adapt at employing SQL and automated testing tools.
- Good communication skills, able to convey technical information clearly.
- Good organisation and time management skills.
