Job Description:

Our client is a company expanding rapidly in the energy market. It is one of the largest methanol producers in the world and works on EPC projects worldwide.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled
EPC Project Managerto join our client's E&C division as part of the Project Management Team, based in Portugal. The selected candidate will oversee the execution of industrial projects for international clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with company standards for quality, safety, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage projects for international clients and/or internal client initiatives.

Take full responsibility for project execution, adhering to the company's quality and project execution guidelines.

Lead and coordinate project teams, including resource planning.

Collaborate with various company departments, external partners, and group companies to ensure timely,
- conscious, and quality project delivery.

Support cost estimation, calculation, and preparation of project offers.

Execute all required project monitoring and control activities in partnership with the project management team.

Define and oversee the implementation of the project execution plan.

Act as the main point of contact for the client's project team regarding technical and commercial matters.

Lead the integrated project team and contractors to meet all project objectives.

Maintain dynamic control over the overall schedule and ensure progress is reported to both internal and external stakeholders.

Coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction activities to align with project requirements.

Ensure the development and proper implementation of project procedures and instructions.

Verify the Project Quality Plan is applied and maintained for the project's benefit.

Monitor project costs and provide ongoing reports on cost performance relative to the budget.

Implement risk management procedures in line with company policies, keeping the Risk Register updated.

Prioritize Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) considerations throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience:

Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Project Manager handling large industrial projects in the petrochemical or oil & gas sector.

Valued experience includes managing large petrochemical or downstream oil & gas EPC projects, particularly those related to methanol and ammonia production (preferred but not mandatory).

Required Qualifications:

Degree in
Mechanical Engineering or Process Engineering or a similar field.

Preferred experience in Power, Oil & Gas, Refining, or Petrochemical-related projects.

Experience in construction projects is highly valued but not essential.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Project.

Advanced or
- level English proficiency.

Knowledge of German or Portuguese is advantageous but not mandatory.

Soft Skills:

Goal-oriented, proactive team player with excellent organizational and leadership skills.
