Project Development Manager Wind

For our office in Lisbon, we are looking for a Project Development Manager.
The Project Development Manager will be responsible for managing the development of the wind project/hybridization through its full lifecycle, of our growing Portuguese pipeline of renewable energy projects. Will integrate our Portuguese development team and work closely with other internal teams, as well as external
- development partners.
Your responsibilities
- Oversee the entire project development lifecycle for wind energy projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Initiate and manage the permitting and authorization processes, ensuring compliance with local and national regulations.
- Lead site scouting efforts, including conducting desktop assessments and utilizing GIS tools, as well as performing site visits to evaluate project feasibility.
- Work closely with construction, engineering, and finance departments to ensure seamless project execution and alignment of objectives.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, community organizations, and development partners, to secure project approvals and foster positive relationships.
- Identify potential risks throughout the project development phase and implement strategies to mitigate them effectively.
- Prepare detailed reports on project status, including financial metrics and compliance with regulatory requirements, for internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in project development within the renewable energy sector, with a focus on wind energy.
- Proven track record of successfully managing
- scale energy projects from inception to completion. - Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and permitting processes related to wind energy.
- Excellent analytical,
- solving, and negotiation skills. - Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in project management software, GIS tools.
- Planning, reporting, and organization skills.
- Well-developed intercultural and communication skills - systematic organizational approach.
- High level of Portuguese and English is mandatory, knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
- Availability to travel within Portugal.
