Job Summary
The Program Manager will oversee the administrative and operational aspects of the Breast Cancer Research Program. This includes managing research projects, coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the research team's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Programme Coordination and Management:- Oversee the

- day operations of the research program; - Coordinate research activities, including project planning, implementation, and reporting in cooperation with the lab manager staff;
- Monitor project timelines, budgets and deliverables in cooperation with lab managers for funded projects.
- Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, funding agencies, and community partners;
- Communicate program goals, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders;
- Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, and conferences related to the programme.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of grant proposals;
- Manage budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring compliance with funding requirements;
- Prepare financial reports and documentation for funding agencies and stakeholders.
- Ensure that all research activities comply with institutional, state, and federal regulations, including IRB requirements;
- Maintain documentation and records as required by regulatory bodies and funding agencies.
- Oversee data collection, analysis, and management, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality;
- Prepare and present progress reports, publications, and other communication materials.
- Supervise and mentor research staff, fellows, and volunteers;
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Requirements
Research Field - Biological sciences or other relevant field (e. g. , health, biology, business administration).
Education Level - Ph
D, Master or Bachelor Degree, or equivalent. A Ph
D/Master’s degree is preferred.
Skills/Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, preferably in a research or healthcare setting.
- Experience in breast cancer research or oncology is highly desirable.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong organisational and project management skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Proficient in Portuguese and English (oral and written);
- Proficient in budgeting and financial management;
- Familiarity with grant writing and reporting processes;
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for research (e. g. , IRB, HIPAA).
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- Experience with data analysis tools and software (e. g. , SPSS, SAS) is a plus.
