Responsibilities

1. Guarantee daily production schedule execution, managing process or packaging lines, meeting quality, costs and service targets. Includes close interaction with quality, maintenance and raw materials departments.
2. Manage between 35 and 70 direct reports, including agency labour to meet business deliverables supporting adequate people development and organizational health.
3. Support implementation of quality, maintenance, product safety and HSE plans within the production department to ensure the required levels of quality, hygiene, safety and process efficiency.
4. Support implementation of various production initiatives to ensure continuous improvement practices in line with company requirements and business deliverables.

Qualifications

1. Preferably University degree, technical experience or relevant experience in the area.
2. Proficiency in English.
3. Computer literate.

Additional Skills

• Experience in management function within the food industry (optional).
• People management / leadership skills.
• Good analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene legislation and procedures.
• Labor relations skills.
