Reporting to the Project Superintendent, the Product Support Advisor will maximise fleet availability and product reliability by providing maintenance support and technical guidance to support maintenance and repair best practice across a diverse range of large mining equipment. This is a partly
- on role (but 80% less tool time) which requires you to carry out diagnosis, repairs and maintenance on customer Caterpillar equipment as required. Operational fleet consists of 793F and 789D Autonomous trucks, 994 Wheel loaders, 6040 and 6060 hydraulic mining Excavators, D10 & D11 Track Type Tractors, MD6250 and MD6310 production drills along with various types of Caterpillar Ancillary equipment.
Proficiency with troubleshooting and fleet performance reviews, whilst being able to identify and suggest opportunities to increase fleet availability, as well as lower operational costs are positive indicators of success for this role.
As an Advisor you will also be required to undertake regular equipment inspections on multiple CAT machines including but not limited to drills, loaders, graders, dozers, excavators and a range of off highway trucks.
Location: Gudai Darri – Rio Tinto / North-west Newman
Roster:
FIFO from Perth only
8 days on, 6 off – 12. 5 hours each day (inc. 30 mins break)
To be successful the following is required:
- Australian-recognised Heavy Mobile Plant Trade Certificate with post trade experience.
- Extensive mining Caterpillar experience is highly desirable or similar work capacity.
- Customer relationship building skills.
- The ability to advise, train, offer good customer service and jump on the tools when needed.
- Sound maintenance and repairs experience on a range of Caterpillar mining fleet.
- Be well aligned and exhibit Wes
Trac’s SPARC values - Safety, Pride, Accountability, Respect and Customer. - Current Australian Drivers Licence.
- High Risk Work Licence – Forklift, EWP, Dogging/Rigging, Working Safely at Heights.
