Our Team is spread across Europe, with a Studio Office in Berlin and a production Office in northern Portugal. We are currently working with Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter Collection cycles and soon grow to a product portfolio of more than 300 products.
We are mainly producing our products in Portugal, while constantly growing our supplier network abroad as well. All manufacturers are an extension of the Brand and having a good relationship with them is as important to us as ensuring
- time production deliveries to sustain the growth of MIKUTA.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Product Developer, your role is to be the bridge between the Creative Team and the Suppliers, helping to bring the designs to life. Your main focus will be overseeing the knitwear collections within each season.
Together with the rest of the Team, you will be working on future Collections and communicating daily with Portuguese and International Suppliers, ensuring the entire process goes smoothly at every stage of development and that the collections are ready in time for the upcoming season.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sample Development: Communicate style changes, limitations, and other crucial information for product development.
- Accessories and Trims: Check all trims and labels regarding the styles you are responsible for.
- Updating the PLM system: Keep track and update the system considering the product stage and changes during product development, together with the design team.
- Shipping and collecting samples: Prepare shipments and ensure a fast and smooth process.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Act as the bridge between our Berlin studio and our supply chain in Portugal for efficient product development.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee samples and check if all requirements are fulfilled before sending to our Berlin Studio.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our customer service team to address any
- related issues. - Technical Expertise: Utilize your expertise in knitting techniques, yarn qualities, and technical specifications to ensure a seamless sampling process.
ABOUT YOU
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Manufacturing, Product Development, or a related field.
- Skills: Understanding the dynamics of fashion cycles and product development.
- Experience: At least 4 years of experience in product development in knitwear/tricot or a commercial background.
- Organization: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with different teams and suppliers.
- Independent: Ability to make decisions according to brand standards and design guidance.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering
- quality products. - Passion: A genuine passion for fashion, trends, and a deep understanding of brand identity.
- Flexibility: High flexibility and willingness to travel, as well as the ability to work independently and in a team.
