The Principal Engineer will be working with development teams and Architects to design and implement the software components that support business needs and strategy. Recognized as an expert in multiple technology domains, this role is key for driving the software development strategy.

Key Accountabilities

1. Define and provide technical guidance, best practices for the software development teams.
2. Partner with Architects to design and build applications, software components, integrations/interfaces, across all software business domains.
3. Collaborate with QA leadership to define tools for testing and automation, fostering CI/CD strategies.
4. Work with Quality Assurance to develop test cases, procedures, and plans.
5. Support and guide development teams through the Software Development Lifecycle.
6. Mentor and coach software engineers, helping them grow from a technical standpoint and also leveraging their soft skills.
7. Assess technology trends, fostering the adoption of
   -
   - breed technologies that will be used to create the applications to support business vision and strategy.
8. Review the current application landscape and provide technology guidance for their evolution.
9. Participate in projects, helping them achieve the goals (on time, on scope, on budget), whilst assuring that the technology used is the one that best fits the project and overall
   - term business strategy.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as Principal Engineer in large and complex organizations.
3. Strong technical expertise in
   - end (Angular, Node. js, etc. ) and
   - end (. NET, Java, etc. ) technologies.
4. Strong technical expertise in API Gateways, Messaging, and Event-driven applications.
5. Technical expertise designing and implementing Monitoring and logging tools.
6. Technical expertise designing and implementing CI/CD tools.
7. Technical expertise with both SQL and No
   SQL databases.
8. Technical expertise in cloud environments and Containers.
9. Recognized expert in design and implementation of software components, modules, or features.
10. Experienced
    - maker in topics like software architecture, coding standards, and technology adoption.
11. Able to communicate complex security and privacy concepts to business users.
12. Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide teams.
13. Experience in digital native companies, building software platforms with significant scale.
