Job Description:

Protegrity, an international provider of data protection solutions, is looking for a passionate and talented Principal Engineer to join our Discover team. This position is a remote role. This job is for you if: As a Principal Engineer, you will influence product direction and lead the technical team while mentoring others. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and delivering
- engineered products that provide high value to our customers in the shortest possible time. You must have a strong understanding of product level requirements and possess the technical knowledge and experience required for leading the design and architecture of secure, performant, and scalable software systems. You should possess the enthusiasm and entrepreneurial skills needed to excel in a
- unstructured environment within a matrixed growth organization focused on products for the enterprise market. Overall, your role as a Principal Engineer will be critical to our success in driving innovation and advancing our technological capabilities to our customer’s benefit. Responsibilities:

1. Driving the product architecture and ensuring that it is robust, scalable, performant, testable, and easily maintainable.
2. Leading the scrum team from a technical perspective, mentoring team members, and providing guidance as needed to ensure the successful delivery of
   - quality software in a timely manner.
3. Accurately reflecting any risks or roadblocks encountered during development to stakeholders, and proactively implementing strategies to mitigate these issues when possible.
4. Leveraging your extensive skills and industry experience to develop and implement best practices that drive
   - term sustainable growth of the company's technological capabilities.
5. Building and maintaining a trusted relationship with all stakeholders, including customers, leadership, and other departments, through effective communication and collaboration.

Qualifications:

1. Fluent in English both written and verbal.
2. A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
3. A minimum of 12 years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing API-based scalable distributed software systems.
4. 12+ years delivering products with
   - based development (AWS, Azure, GCP).
5. Strong skills in software engineering and architecture principles (such as OOP, SOLID, TDD, DDD, BDD).
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to
   - technical stakeholders.
7. Experience working in an Agile environment and strong understanding of Scrum methodologies.
8. A proven track record of owning a product's architecture and making it robust, scalable, performant, testable, and easily maintained.
9. Leadership skills to technically lead a scrum team, mentor team members, and provide guidance as needed.
10. A commitment to delivering
    - quality working software in a timely manner while quickly and transparently reflecting any risks or roadblocks encountered.
11. Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends to develop and implement best practices and trusted advice to drive
    - term sustainable growth, while building a
    - trusted relationship with all stakeholders.
12. Solid knowledge of Data Protection, Privacy, and Security preferred.
13. Advanced proficiency in Python required.
14. Advanced proficiency in k8s preferred.
15. Advanced proficiency in Docker required.
16. Advanced proficiency in Open
    Search (/Elastic Stack) preferred.
17. Advanced proficiency in Parallelism & concurrency required.
18. Advanced proficiency in Micro Services required.
19. Advanced proficiency in Linux required.
