- harvesting manager to join our Portuguese entity, Avextra Portugal SA.

Reports To: Managing Director

Job Overview

Following policies and standards set forth by the Company, manage the overall operation of the medical cannabis
- harvesting (dry, trim, cure and packaging) department through the delegation and supervision of duties related to the
- harvest processing of cannabis. This includes department scheduling, staffing, the execution of proper trimming techniques, compliance, ensuring adherence to quality guidelines, employee training, and all other duties & responsibilities associated with running a successful
- harvesting facility for cannabis.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Oversee and participate in the execution of proper
  - harvesting methods set forth by the Company.
• Manage and participate in the
  - harvesting process in compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain strict logs & reports concerning daily operational performance.
• Thorough communication of obstacles which limit department performance.
• Schedule, delegate, participate and monitor department staffing needs and daily directives.
• Train
  - harvesting operations staff in proper techniques of
  - harvesting.
• Ensure
  - harvesting operation facilities are equipped with machinery and technology vital to efficient operations.
• Oversee the maintenance of department equipment, whether scheduled or otherwise.
• Responsible for the execution of daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation efforts in all related work areas.
• Support the acquisition of all consumable goods, packaging materials, and other department input materials.
• Oversight of harvest
  - processing and waste disposal.
• Operate under the guidelines provided by company policies and procedures.
• Support the update of all quality and safety procedures and protocols.
• Participate in flower scouting and harvest readiness operations.
• Harvest and
  - harvest labour activities.
• Monitor, track and report the environmental conditions of the flower room.
• Other related tasks as delegated by your manager.
• Ability to be flexible and work in various sectors of the department or company as needed and/or requested by their direct supervisor.

Qualifications

• Completed a Horticulture or Agronomy Certificate or Diploma.
• Application of Plant Protection Products Course (Bonus)
• 1 year work experience in horticulture or another
  - paced environment (operations).
• Experience in organic agriculture a plus.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Applications.
• Strong inventory and production management skills.
• Must possess excellent communication skills for communicating with peers and schedulers.
• Highly capable of
  - tasking, with minimal supervision.
• Ability to organize and participate in operational and labour activities.
• Ability to use environmental monitoring computer software.
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
