Objectives:
Are you passionate about building and optimizing
- edge platform services? As a Platform Engineer at Volkswagen Financial Services, you will play a key role in designing, automating, and securing the infrastructure that powers our global business applications. Working in a dynamic, international environment, you’ll collaborate with top experts to drive innovation in containerization, and IT automation.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Analyze and define platform requirements for VWFS applications.
- Plan, deploy, and configure VM-based (Linux and or Windows) and
- based platforms. - Design and implement automated software deployment and distribution processes.
- Perform containerization of applications and legacy systems.
- Implement security best practices for platform services.
- Provide technical support for ITSCM tests, penetration tests, and performance/load tests.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure smooth
- live transitions. - Maintain system documentation and provide knowledge transfer to managed service providers.
We believe that the right profile for this job should have / be:
- 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering and container platforms.
- Experience in Red Hat, Kubernetes, Docker, and Java (Oracle, Open
JDK, JBoss EAP/Tomcat). - Automation skills with Ansible, Python, Bash, Power
Shell, and YAML. - Experience with CI/CD tools (Bitbucket, Concourse, Ansible Automation Platform, Artifactory).
- Knowledge of ITIL v3 processes and service management frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Load Balancers, TLS Certificates, Firewall Rules, Networking Zoning.
- Expertise in monitoring and logging tools like Dynatrace, Grafana.
- Ability to troubleshoot network and infrastructure issues in complex enterprise environments.
- Experience with Confluence and Jira.
