The Role
Hiscox is seeking a highly motivated Platform Administrator to join our IT Service Organization. This role will focus on the administration, support, and configuration of our IT Service Management platform and its customer interfaces, portals, dashboards, and workflows. This role will collaborate with stakeholders throughout Hiscox IT to ensure that our IT Service Management platform meets all their service delivery needs while maintaining a
- class
- user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Platform Support & Administration: Provides overall support for the IT Service Management Platform. Ensures that all performance, availability, and security Service Level Agreements are met. Troubleshoots and resolves incidents and service disruptions related to the platform and its interfaces.
- Platform Configuration & Development: Designs, develops, and configures the IT Service Management platform. Builds workflows, screen sets, and business rules to ensure the efficient and accurate delivery of IT service. Develops custom scripts and integrations that enhance the service delivery and automation capabilities of the ITSM platform. Builds and configures customer portals and interfaces to provide an optimized,

- focused approach. Gathers feedback, analyses stakeholder needs, and implements solutions that enhance employee productivity and satisfaction. Develops custom interfaces that are
- friendly, intuitive, and accessible. - Quality Assurance: Ensures that all technical solutions are adequately tested and satisfy stakeholder requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborates with stakeholders to understand their needs, identifies requirements, and ensures they are aligned with our Service Management Practices. Translates these stakeholder requirements into technical solutions.
- Strategic Vision: Supports the IT Service Management Tooling & Automation Product Owner in delivery of the platform roadmap. Continually reviews solutions and processes to identify Service Improvement opportunities.
Person Specification
Essential:
- 2+ years of experience configuring and administering an ITSM tool such as Service Now, Alemba, BMC Remedy, Halo or Jira Service Manager.
- ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation certification.
- 2+ years of experience working in an ITIL-based IT Service Management delivery framework.
- Experience with the support and administration of a Configuration Management Database.
- Good understanding of technology developments and industry trends in IT Service Management.
- Possesses the ability to communicate effectively with technical and
- technical stakeholders at all levels. Can present complex topics in a concise manner. - Be able to work in a
- paced environment with rapidly evolving targets and to prioritise work effectively. - Be
- motivated, confident and decisive with a “can do” attitude to meeting business needs. - Possess solid influencing skills and the ability to manage suppliers/stakeholders effectively.
- Be a good team player, working with IT and business professionals in an effective manner at a global scale.
Desirable:
- UX/UI experience and/or certifications.
- Experience working in the financial services industry.
- Advanced ITIL v3 / v4 certifications.
- Exposure to Agile ways of working and Value Stream focused delivery methodology.
