People Operations Specialist (Ukraine Speaking)
Casafari is looking to recruit a team member for their People Team in Lisbon. But there is a slight twist. We are looking for an individual who is a Ukrainian National, who lives in the vicinity of Lisbon who will be able to access our wonderful office near Marques Pombal.

- related operations within the organisation especially for our colleagues in Ukraine. This role involves coordinating key HR activities, ensuring smooth operations, and supporting the overall employee lifecycle. The People Operations Specialist UKR acts as a primary point of contact for Ukrainian employees and management, but where necessary also our teams across Europe, handling complex HR matters with a high degree of professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.
This role requires a deep understanding of HR processes, strong
- solving abilities, and the capability to lead initiatives that contribute to a positive work environment.
You should be a proactive and versatile HR professional to perform the functions of recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and payroll processes. This role is pivotal in ensuring a seamless employee experience from hiring through retention while maintaining accuracy and compliance in payroll administration.
Your role will include activities that involve managing the daily team member lifecycle processes and regularly interacting with team members. You should be able to demonstrate a great degree of empathy, while also being resolution and
- driven.
Additionally you will be responsible for all aspects of the sourcing and hiring of IT professionals to fill technical positions. You will be an integral partner to teams looking to recruit suitable candidates to work at CASAFARI.

People Administrative duties:
- Employment Contracts;
- Probation Periods and Contract Renewals,
- Time Off Managemeny
- Onboard and offboard Team Members, ensuring an awesome experience throughout the journey;
- Process employee changes and terminations including document generation, notifications, and HRIS updates.
- Provide
- related support to our Team Members; - Manage our HRIS - maintain data accuracy for Team Members' personal and employment information;
- People Operations are involved in the team member learning and development process. A focus on continual learning helps build a cohesive and collaborative culture where all team members feel competent and valued. In turn, this helps CASAFARI succeed.
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and selection;
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify needs and develop job descriptions;
- Conducting initial screening of selected applicants for competency with the job requirements. Additionally you will be responsible for arranging all further interview appointments and the communication of any technical assessments that may be required from the applicant;
- Conduct
- employment checks where appropriate; - Offering job positions and completing the relevant paperwork;
- Oversee onboarding processes to ensure new hires have a smooth integration into the organization;
- Keeping track of all applicants as well as keeping applicants informed on the application process;
- Create a candidate pipeline to anticipate future company needs.
Payroll:
- Support the monthly payroll process, together with the Finance Team;
- Ensure all updates are taken into consideration and any changes are noted and acted upon;
- Keep track of any future needs from our team member;
- Ensure the payroll runs smoothly and our team members get a seamless and positive experience.
Requirements of the position:

- A key role of the People Operations Specialist UKR is to build and gain employee trust by communicating regularly and clearly with all Team Members;
- Part of this requires conducting regular
- ins with employees (through surveys and
- person discussions) to gauge how they’re feeling as well as how they feel about the company; - Following a review of the information it is essential that this is communicated back to team members and this creates an inclusive culture where employees feel involved in the entire process;
- Part of this requires conducting regular
- 2 - 3 years of experience in a similar HR role, covering recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and payroll;
- Reasonable knowledge of HR practices and labour laws;
- Experience with HRIS and payroll software (e. g. : Bamboo
HR, Factorial); - High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively;
- Proficiency in English, home language Ukrainian and any other European languages are a bonus.
Skills:
- Great communication and collaboration skills to partner and engage with multiple stakeholders;
- Ability to work autonomously, owning allocated projects/activities end to end;
