What you'll do:

The primary purpose of this role is to facilitate the successful execution of the build and configuration of Payspace payroll products ensuring compliance with local tax legislation in new countries earmarked for Pay
Space by Deel’s expansion.

1. Conduct
   - depth analysis of advisory packs, initiating clarifying discussions with advisors, and ensuring a comprehensive understanding of
   - specific requirements.
2. Define project requirements across various team pillars, identifying and assessing new system requirements, and escalating complex issues to the Lead for resolution.
3. Write specifications, and coordinate tasks with Payroll Business Analysts and QA. Collaborate with the
   - country Compliance team (BA/QA) and
   - country UAT to ensure product delivery is aligned with
   - specific requirements.
4. Obtain country build approvals, conduct
   - deployment evaluations, and maintain compliance and quality standards in project builds.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Research
   - specific legislative regulations ensuring compliance with the appropriate Tax Authority.
2. Translate related legislative documents from the official language of the build country to business English.
3. Configure and test payroll elements for compliance, and create clear,
   - friendly documentation to drive accurate coding by the Development Department.
4. Analyze advisory packs and hold meetings to clarify legislative compliance requirements.
5. Define and document functional and legislative build requirements with Payroll BAs.
6. Identify and escalate new system configuration for
   - specific legislative requirements.
7. Lead country legislative build, manage task delivery and communicate any delays to ensure timely project completion.
8. Collaborate to create specifications and development tickets for payroll calculations and features.
9. Ensure product delivery aligns with
   - specific requirements and resolve configuration & compliance issues.
10. Collaborate with BAs and QA to ensure project builds meet legislative compliance standards.
11. Document and create training materials for country build.
12. Conduct
    - deployment meetings with relevant stakeholders.

Experience:

1. Payroll Expertise: At least 3 years of
   - on experience in payroll configuration, with deep knowledge of payroll payment items, codes, and
   - specific legislative requirements.
2. Technical Configuration: Proven ability to configure formulas, categorize pay elements, and maintain statutory rates, tables, and
   - specific fields.
3. Analytical Skills: Strong aptitude for analyzing, interpreting, and critically evaluating information from
   - country advisors and other sources.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated success in working effectively with Product, Quality Assurance, and Development teams.
5. Excel Proficiency: Intermediate skills, including lookups, formulas, and advanced data manipulation.
6. Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and
   - making skills to handle complex scenarios.
7. Requirements Translation: Skilled in translating functional requirements into detailed technical specifications, ensuring compliance with legislative and product standards.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

3 years of experience in product configuration.
