Operational Excellence Manager (m/f/d)
The Operational Excellence Manager serves as a strategic and operational role driving process improvements and operational maturity within the assigned department. This position ensures alignment of the team with the DEF Department’s goals and strategy, enhancing operational efficiency while maintaining compliance with the organization’s regulations and standards. Each Operational Excellence Manager will lead defined horizontal operational excellence topics for the DEF organization.
What will be your responsibilities?
- Support and coordinate the team based on DEF Management Office standardization.
- Financial Planning: Support Financial Planning and Workforce Planning in collaboration with DEF Finance and Department Head.
- Communication Management: Develop and execute communication plans to ensure stakeholders and the Defense organization are informed about cybersecurity initiatives, progress, and risks.
- Reporting and Dashboarding: Ensure reporting accuracy and timeliness for
- making purposes. - Service Management: Ensure adherence to the Defense Standard on Service Management and support stakeholder engagement.
- Task Management: Oversee Task Management practices to ensure timely execution of activities and initiatives aligned across the Defense Organization.
- Risk Management: Manage department risks in alignment with Defense Management Risks.
- Project Governance: Ensure compliance with organizational standards and DEF Management Office governance practices.
- Manage one of the defined horizontal DEF topics within the DEF Management Office.
What do you need to qualify for this job?
- University Diploma or Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Project Management or MBA are a plus but not required.
- Ability to manage and align
- functional teams, driving collaboration and ensuring standardization. - Ability to collaborate with team members and maintain a positive dynamic while working under pressure.
- Fluency in spoken and written English, including business terminology.
- Stakeholder management skills, including identifying, analyzing, and engaging interested parties.
- Ability to create budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
- Knowledge of Project Management methodologies and ability to ensure adherence to organizational standards and timely delivery.
- Ability to create and execute communication plans for the department.
- Proficiency in creating clear, concise, and actionable reports and presentations for middle and senior management and stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze and visualize data to support
- making.
