Network Security Engineer, Lisbon
We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to join our dynamic team at AXA Group Operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's network and security infrastructure, such as Next Generation Firewall, VPN, SSE (Security Service Edge), and DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM). This role will play a critical part in ensuring our network security posture meets the highest standards and remains resilient against evolving cyber threats.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain the organization's Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) infrastructure, with a focus on Palo Alto Networks as the NGFW solution provider.
- Design, implement, and maintain the organization's VPN infrastructure, with a focus on Cisco ASA and F5 APM as the VPN solution.
- Design, implement, and maintain the organization's SSE product.
- Deliver
- level design (HLD) and
- level design (LLD) documentation. - Create comprehensive work instructions for the Level 2 team, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and support processes.
- Utilize development skills for data analysis, automation, monitoring, and control within the network security domain.
- Collaborate with
- functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective firewall policies and configurations. - Conduct regular security assessments and audits of the environment to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Analyze and resolve security incidents, utilizing deep technical expertise.
- Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats and security technologies to proactively enhance the NGFW infrastructure.
Your Profile
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) technologies and their application in enterprise environments, with specific expertise in Palo Alto Networks' solutions.
- Strong understanding of VPN technologies and their application in enterprise environments, with specific expertise in CISCO solutions and F5 APM.
- Strong understanding of technologies and their application in enterprise environments, with specific expertise in Efficient IP.
- Experience with NSX-T and
- segmentation is desirable. - Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and proficiency with tools like Git
Hub and Terraform. - Familiarity with network security principles, best practices, and industry standards.
- Development skills for data analysis, automation, monitoring, and control within the network security domain.
- Relevant industry certifications (PCNSA, PCNSE, CCNP Security) are highly desirable.
- Previous experience in both banking and insurance sectors is preferable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the network security and NGFW domain.
- Excellent
- solving and analytical skills, with a proactive and
- oriented approach to security management. - Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
