We are looking for a Mobile Development Engineer (hybrid role) with expertise in Android development. You should be able to quickly learn new concepts and join an experienced team in advanced software application for medical devices using

- art technology. The role will involve prototyping functional mobile applications for

- concepts, as well as delivering
- level code and documentation to support the launch of new products.

This position will directly report to the Sr Manager R&D in Coimbra (Portugal).

What will you be doing?

1. Development of rapid
   -
   - concept prototyping and feasibility demonstrators for surgical navigation applications on mobile devices (Android).
2. Writing
   - level mobile code following established design patterns and corresponding documentation.
3. Participation in software architectural design meetings and providing input based on specific expertise for design decisions, requirements development, and software testing.
4. Reviewing deliverables from other team members and contractors.

What will you need to be successful?

1. Knowledge of communication protocols and Android
   - end libraries, contributing to architectural design choices considering cybersecurity.
2. Able to autonomously solve problems in your area of expertise and acquire necessary knowledge for problems outside of your comfort zone.
3. Able to deliver complete functional software modules with appropriate documentation for medical
   - grade code.

Education:

Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Competences / Skills:

1. Proficiency in Kotlin is a
   - have requirement.
2. Familiarity with Android
   - end libraries.
3. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e. g. , Jenkins, Git
   Lab CI).
4. Excellent
   - solving abilities and experience in a dynamic,
   - paced environment.
5. Strong communication skills and experience in managing external contractors and reviewing technical deliverables.
