Located in Cascais, Portugal, Aprendizes is an independent private school educating students aged 3 to 18. We offer the Portuguese National Curriculum from preschool through 4th grade and the Cambridge International Curriculum for grades 5 to 12. Our community of approximately 600 students, 130 staff members, and families from over 40 nationalities is rooted in Portuguese culture while embracing a global perspective.

We’re seeking dedicated educators who:

• Are passionate about engaging students as global citizens.
• Bring expertise in their subject area, paired with active learning and
  - centered teaching methods.
• Are motivated to connect education to
  - world issues and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
• Value collaboration and thrive in a diverse, inclusive, and caring school community.
• Want to support students to take the lead in various school activities such as Model United Nations, Duke of Edinburgh, Student Magazine, Sport Tournaments, etc.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidates will possess:

• A bachelor’s degree, recognized teaching qualification, and relevant teaching experience.
• Experience with the Cambridge International Curriculum or another international curriculum.
• Experience with active, inquiry and/or project based learning - and being a facilitator of learning processes.
• Fluency in English (proficiency in Portuguese is a plus).
• Digital literacy and a willingness to integrate technology into teaching.
• The ability to build strong, supportive relationships of equal worth with students and families.
