Job Description:

As a Software Engineer, your responsibilities will be focused equally on Metadata Management (50%) and Data Platforms (50%). You will play a key role in ensuring the seamless integration, governance, and performance of our data systems.

Metadata Management (50%)

• Develop and deploy custom connectors for the data. world platform, enabling integration with various data sources.
• Configure the data. world platform in collaboration with data stewards and other power users to enhance usability.
• Implement data governance use cases like data product access requests and data quality monitoring.
• Be responsible for the technical product development, for implementing business requirements and for the reliable operation of the data catalog.

Data Platforms (50%)

• Develop and maintain our AWS-based analytics platform and infrastructure.
• Support developers in implementing data solutions by providing deep technical expertise as part of a central Dev
  Ops team.
• Automate workflows and optimize the development stack to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with business departments, data engineers, ML engineers and the architecture team.

What you have to offer

• Hands-on experience in software development with a track record of building connectors or similar integration solutions.
• Experience in Java and Scala is a plus.
• Familiarity with AWS Analytics Services (e. g. , Glue, Athena, Sage
  Maker) and Dev
  Ops practices, including CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform.
• Ideally, you have
  - how in semantics and graph technologies (RDF, SPARQL) and metadata management in tools like data. world.

Education

You have completed a higher degree in computer science or business informatics (university of applied sciences).
