Position Summary

SW/Systems Engineer which is the point of contact to central MES (also known as FIS - Factory Information System) team. Execution of applications/SW for equipment that interfaces MES and coordination with Central Team.

Your Role

1. MES Central Team interface and participant
2. Configure plant floor process equipment for integration with MES
3. Equipment moves, line drops and plant engineering requests
4. Write specifications for enhancements and changes
5. Schedule and coordinate deployment and upgrade project
6. Ensure the operation, functionality and improvement of the traceability system for all manufacturing steps

Your Background

1. Informatics/Systems Engineering related degree/Master
2. Understanding of the manufacturing process (preferably automotive)
3. Functional understanding of a MES and how it is used
4. Ability to determine the source of problems on the MES (system, code and so forth), get to root cause and develop workaround solutions for MES problems
5. Detailed knowledge of the necessary IT skills (Unix, Windows)
6. Knowledge of Database administration (SQL)
7. Senior Engineer with experience on MES, is a plus
8. English language knowledge at a working level
