Job Description:

As a Data Governance Manager at adidas, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging the value of data for our digital transformation. You will define and implement data governance and quality frameworks, methods, and standards across business processes and IT systems. Your responsibilities include designing innovative data solutions, consulting on projects, and ensuring data compliance in collaboration with Analytics, Business, and Tech partners. Additionally, you will manage the lifecycle of products and services from inception to retirement, addressing market opportunities and customer needs to maximize business value.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Data Management and Governance: Provide advice on data transformation, ensure data availability, integrity, and searchability, and implement information management policies. Report on information controls and maintain an inventory of information assets.
• Visualization, Analysis, and Specialist Advice: Create and automate data visualizations, investigate operational needs for process improvements.
• Solution Architecture: Develop
  - level architectures for PDM/MDG implementations, evaluating alternatives for cost, performance, and scalability. Produce specifications for cloud/on-premises components and support projects with technical plans adhering to enterprise architecture standards, including security.
• Requirements Definition and Management: Define, manage, and prioritize scoping and requirements for
  - scale changes, assisting with complex initiatives. Apply techniques to elicit, document, and review requirements, ensuring traceability and compliance with change management policies.
• Data Modelling and Database Design: Utilize data analysis, design, and quality assurance to establish and maintain data structures based on business processes. Advise on data structures for application development and assess changes to data models, maintaining expertise in database and data warehouse concepts and architectures.
• Product Ownership: Manage PDM/MDG backlog and roadmap using control solutions for planning, scheduling, and tracking while providing administrative support, and guidance on project management tools.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• An experienced (4-5 years) manager in data governance or product ownership.
• A technical background with knowledge in SAP S4 Hana and SAP MDG.
• Good understanding of data modelling and data profiling.
• Experience in PM, Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Proven ability to do requirement management in a complex business and technical environment.
• Business fluency in English (written & spoken).
