Drive Systems is currently looking for a “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as Maintenance Team Leader at our new production plant in Viana, Portugal.

Key Accountabilities

1. Coordinate the activities of the team members including the assignment of tasks and maintenance objectives
2. Lead, motivate and support the development of team members
3. Train new members on safety rules in the operation of equipment, preventive and corrective maintenance
4. Monitor the maintenance work carried out by the team
5. Monitor work carried out by external entities, whenever needed
6. Facilitate efficient and open communication within the department and with other departments in the organization
7. Conduct daily meetings with team members and facilitate communication between shifts with a focus on maintenance interventions and KPI’s
8. Provide technical assistance on mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic equipment, programming, robotics, laser equipment, traceability, etc.
9. Technically assist the reception of new equipment (installation, validation and
   - up)
10. Perform diagnostics and maintenance (preventive and corrective)
11. Perform maintenance services (corrective, preventive, predictive/inspection, activity/system optimization), repair, replacements and adjustments in general, according to law DL 50/2005
12. Perform preventive maintenance of equipment according to specific activities for each type of preventive maintenance
13. Test the equipment before and after interventions and take corrective actions, if necessary, as well as recommendations that can prevent recurrence of defects and enable better equipment performance
14. Diagnose the causes of defects and take the necessary corrective actions
15. Ensure the maintenance, cleaning, conservation, storage and control of all material, appliances, and equipment
16. Ensure documentation of maintenance and improvement activities
17. Guide operators on the proper use of equipment
18. Support and implement production techniques developed in the organization (Visual Support, 5S etc. )
19. Lead and participate in
    - solving activities
20. Comply with environmental, health and safety, quality and productivity standards
21. Comply with the organization's rules and internal regulations Code of Ethics, Practice and Schedule
22. Respect workplace safety and cleanliness rules
23. Respect and comply with environmental policy rules
24. Perform other tasks not included in the activity for which he was hired, when the needs or convenience of the service justify it, for the period necessary for the said needs or conveniences of service

1. Specialized training in mechanics, electromechanics, electronics, industrial maintenance, automation, programming, robotics, laser, traceability, or similar area
2. Previous experience in a similar role will be valued
3. Problem Solving (5W; Ishikawa; PDCA; 8D) (preferred)
4. Solid knowledge of the operation of machines (mechanics, pneumatics, electronics, electricity, etc. ), and/or test equipment
5. Interpretation of machine and electrical schematics
6. Knowledge of automotive industry standards
7. Computer knowledge from user's perspective
8. Knowledge in the context of
   - line production and testing in the automotive industry (valued)
