The Query Team sits at the forefront of shaping the search and autosuggest experience for our customers. We develop and optimize advanced
- processing techniques like autocompletion, spelling correction, and natural language processing, which aim to capture user intent and drive conversions. Our systems handle immense traffic, meaning your work will directly impact millions of users. If you’re passionate about applying ML in

As an ML Engineer with the Query Team, you’ll work on
- traffic, critical systems: you’ll research and develop
- edge ML models, but you’ll also own the
-
- end delivery, ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of the systems you build. The expectations for this role are to:

1. Improve business KPIs by implementing ML solutions for query processing.
2. Own the full development lifecycle: design solutions, develop and iterate on them, and deliver them to production, while ensuring our systems remain stable, performant, and scalable.
3. Draw and validate hypotheses from users’ data and behavioral patterns.
4. Develop and maintain search & autosuggest quality assessment pipelines.
5. Have experience working on services with high traffic and high availability.
6. Be familiar with various NLP & Machine Learning techniques.
7. Possess strong analytical skills and strive to make
   - driven decisions.
8. Be familiar with big data stacks for
   -
   - end ML product development.
9. Have a solid foundation on algorithms, data structures & their
   - offs.
10. Enjoy learning new things & jumping between different technology stacks.

Compensation includes a base range of $90, 000 - $110, 000 + stock options + work from home bonus. Fully remote team - choose where you live, with a work from home stipend provided to set up your home office. Apple laptops provided for new employees, along with a training and development budget refreshed each year. Parental leave for qualified employees is also available.
