About the role
The LQA Manager at PTW’s Portugal studios oversees all Localization QA projects, ensuring they exceed client expectations by closely collaborating with global peers. This role involves managing and nurturing a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators, fostering their professional growth. The LQA Manager is responsible for creating and implementing standardized processes based on industry and company best practices while continually reviewing and assessing project delivery for ongoing improvement. Additionally, the position requires managing staff utilization to ensure profitability and acting as a champion for maintaining high linguistic quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing all Localization QA projects delivered by PTW’s Portugal studios
- Working closely with peers across the global organization to ensure all projects exceed client expectations
- Managing a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators to enable them to grow and develop
- Creating and implementing unified processes using industry and company best practice standards
- Reviewing and assessing delivery on an ongoing basis to ensure continual improvement
- Managing staff utilization to ensure profitability
- Being a champion for linguistic quality
Requirements
- Experience in games Localization QA testing is a plus, preferably in an outsourced environment
- Significant experience of leading Localization or Localization QA teams
- Knowledge of localization and translation technologies would be beneficial
- First rate leadership and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage a constantly changing workload
- Ability to work under pressure and with constantly changing priorities
- Excellent
- working and influencing skills - Flexibility regarding hours of work
- Strong IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
