Job Description:

As a Linux System Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the stability, security, and performance of our critical Linux-based systems, ensuring seamless operation of the bank's IT infrastructure.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain, and monitor Linux servers and applications, including system updates, patching, and configuration management.
• Perform regular system and security audits, vulnerability assessments, and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Proactively identify and resolve system performance issues, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
• Provide technical support and guidance to users and other IT staff, including troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
• Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to maintain accurate records and facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Participate in
  - call rotations and provide
  - hours support as needed.

Qualifications

Main Technical Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Linux System Administrator, preferably in the financial or banking sector.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (RHEL, Cent
  OS) and system administration tools.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Openstack) and containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift).
• Familiarity with network protocols, firewalls, and load balancing solutions.
• Knowledge of storage solutions, such as SAN, NAS.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e. g. , Bash, Python, or Perl) for automation and process improvement.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible) and version control systems (Git).
• Understanding of ITIL principles and experience working within ITIL-based environments.
• Excellent
  - solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a
  - paced, dynamic environment.
• Relevant certifications such as RHCE are a plus.
