About the role:

We seek a
- oriented, proactive, and adaptable Legal Specialist to join our Operations team. In this role, you will handle various legal matters - from labor law to data protection - across multiple markets, ensuring compliance while supporting the company’s operational needs.

This is a
- on role where you'll need to be comfortable working outside your comfort zone, quickly learning about new legal topics, and taking ownership of complex issues. You’ll have the support of external law firms when needed, but you should be autonomous, curious, and proactive in researching and solving legal challenges.

You will also play a key role in leveraging legal tech tools and automation to streamline processes, making legal operations more efficient. Additionally, as a trusted legal advisor, you will help educate and guide teams on legal best practices, ensuring that our team stays informed and compliant.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide legal support in areas (like labor law, data protection, and contracts) in different markets;
2. Streamline legal workflows using tools and automation, to improve efficiency;
3. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts (with partners, vendors and clients), ensuring compliance;
4. Oversee data protection compliance (e. g. , GDPR, HIPAA), by reviewing processes, policies, and agreements related to health data;
5. Support
   - related legal matters and labor law compliance;
6. Coordinate with external law firms and manage costs;
7. Stay ahead of regulatory changes that could impact Nutrium, proactively identifying risks and adapting policies and agreements;
8. Create and maintain legal templates and policies;
9. Train teams on legal and compliance topics;
10. Advise on new business models, partnerships, and products;
11. Manage intellectual property and trademarks;
12. Assist with due diligence and corporate governance.

Who You Are:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (bar admission is a plus but not required);
2. 3-5 years of experience in a legal role, ideally within a healthcare startup and/or corporate setting;
3. Fluent in Portuguese and English (other languages are a plus!);
4. Strong knowledge of commercial, corporate, and contract law (familiarity with labor law, fiscal law, and data protection (e. g. , GDPR, HIPAA) is a plus!);
5. Strong communication and negotiation skills, able to simplify legal concepts for
   - legal teams;
6. Tech-savvy, and comfortable using legal tools and automation for efficiency;
7. Adaptable and proactive, ready to handle diverse legal challenges and seek support when needed;
8. Detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects and priorities;
9. Trusted with sensitive information, maintaining integrity and discretion;
10. Business-minded
    - solver, aligning legal processes with business goals.
