Air Liquide Europe Business Services (ALEBS) was created in 2019 in Lisbon, Portugal with the mandate to provide financial services for Air Liquide European entities. In the space of 4 years, it has expanded to over 400 employees based in 3 office locations: Lisbon, Tomar and Guarda. The geographical scope was extended to include, besides the European affiliates also entities located in Africa, Middle-East and India, and the operational scope was extended and includes today not just Finance, but also Human Resources.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Context: Air Liquide deployed Workday globally from 2021 to 2023 in 60+ countries for 65k+ employees. The Center of Excellence in HR Digital Solutions is responsible for the delivery of digital HR and Payroll services with a primary focus on the Workday digital solution and its coordination/functional integration with ancillary systems (ERPs, Payroll vendors, Benefits vendors, Group IT systems, Service
Now, etc. ). The Co
E HRDS team designs, configures, deploys and maintains Human Resource focused digital solutions to support the business operations.
This role is responsible for the delivery and continuous improvement of digital HR services within the defined scope. The primary focus will be to ensure continued support and enhance the user experience, in close coordination with other members of the Co
E HRDS team.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the configuration and enhancement of the Workday Time Tracking and Absence modules
- Lead a team of configuration analysts supporting the Time Tracking and Absence modules
- Recommend and validate Time Tracking and Absence module configuration and integration designs for effectiveness and alignment with global operating standards
- Support projects related to new Time Tracking and Absence module enhancements or integrations
- Manage projects and coordinate the work of other team members, internal and external
1. Configuration and Continuous Improvement
- Support the configuration and enhancement
- Advise on the design and development strategy of the related Workday business processes and data management
- Develop and drive innovative and proactive change efforts for HR process improvements
- Provide subject matter expertise in Workday support and development including business process configuration, testing and troubleshooting support
- Receive and analyze change requests, analyze the business needs and propose solutions
- Clarify the business processes needs and customer/user preferences, with the Business Process Owners to ensure the solution is
- centric by design - Audit processes to ensure full functionality, diagnose and challenge the current configuration, identify potential issues
- Propose solutions and enhancements to the systems and process design in line with the global design model
- Manage and participate in the execution, configuration and testing of the approved changes
- Test and audit configuration changes in a Sandbox tenant before moving to Production tenant
- Ensure regression testing is executed as needed
- Ensure all stakeholders are aware of the changes in advance and the potential impact (Payroll or others)
- Work in collaboration with IT (BIS, GIO), Application Management Support (AMS) and consultants
- Manage the integration of new solutions or business processes
- Participate in the ongoing assessment and evolution of HRDS roadmap
2. Time & Absence
- Strong knowledge of Absence Plans, Time Entry Templates, Time Calculations, Time Entry Codes, Eligibility Rules, Accrual Calculations, Business Processes, Custom Reports, Calculated Fields, and EIBs
- Build and support advanced Time Tracking and Absence configuration
- Build and support advanced accrual calculations and calculated fields
- Create and run Time Tracking and Absence EIBs
3. Drive deployment of new features
- Provide relevant information on the solutions/providers/market trends and facilitate exchanges of internal and external best practices
- Manage the deployment of new features and innovations
- Coordinate with other HRDS members and Business owners
- Ensure all system changes are communicated, explained and supplemented with clear user guidelines
- Ensure the continuous improvement of users’ experience
- Lead the testing and adoption of Workday new releases
4. Maintain HRDS Strategy to Support the Business Operations
- Ensure the ongoing administration of Workday solutions in scope and related processes
- Act as an escalation point, and subject matter expert for the BSC, business process owners, Co
Es and HR users - Ensure the execution of HRDS services are systematically performed in due time, including but not limited to:
- Resolve technical issues, maintain existing plans,
- Coordinate and audit mass uploads (EIBs), etc.
- Work closely within HRDS team and with DDS to assure effective oversight of security and access rights, management of system interfaces, and system updates/version releases
- Receive and analyze break fix and users requirements, analyze the business needs, propose solutions and reassign to the HRDS configuration team as needed
- Coordinate Workday new releases testing and acknowledgment for the scope of responsibility
- Ensure satisfaction among all stakeholders (HR, employees, managers) and work with HRDS team and IT to resolve issues and propose improvements
- Maintain and apply the Business Continuity Plan associated with the Workday solutions in scope
5. Governance and Accountability
- Adhere to the governance model deployed by HR Digital Solutions
- Present to the Governance Board all relevant change requests to get its assessment and approval
- Update the Governance Board on the main activities ongoing in the scope of responsibility
- Proactively solicit feedback from HR customer community in order to adjust, update and enhance solutions, processes and HRDS services to assure alignment with business needs and priorities
- Ensure alignment of annual objectives to key business needs and objectives
- Act as an escalation point, subject matter expert for the HR Co
Es and BSC - Be accountable for successful delivery of HRDS services
6. Leadership & Team Management
- Directly manage team coming from different countries (multicultural & multilingual background)
- Ensure your team possess and continue to develop the required and critical competencies.
- Build and coalesce a team which might be physically based in multiple locations across the globe
- Maintain engagement and provide required support to team members for career growth.

Are you a MATCH?
Work experience
- University degree related to HRIS, business administration, human resources, IT
- Minimum 7-9 years of pertinent experience, in HRIS and HR processes
- Advanced technical knowledge of Workday solutions, exposure to Workday deployment, maintenance and enhancement of Workday or other HRIS post

- functional teams - Experience in team management and project management
Knowledge
- Strong operational and technical knowledge on Workday solutions in scope of responsibilities
- Operational knowledge of other solutions out of scope
- In-depth and
- on experience with HRIS requirements analysis, business process configurations and user testing
