C) department within Vestas R&D - Product Applications & Control (PAC) is responsible for developing Loads & Controls Solutions for Vestas product portfolios across various stages in the product lifecycle. La
C Global Support Structure Solutions, a department within La
C takes accountability in providing La
C Solutions for Support structure designs for offshore products. We are responsible for taking the functional ownership within the area of La
C support structure solutions working
- functionally with different functions and business units. Our department includes highly skilled & diversely specialized engineers working across Denmark, Portugal, and India.
Responsibilities
- Technical lead for Offshore support structure projects La
C Solutions. - Modelling, simulation and system level analysis for offshore support structure projects.
- Participate in the development of methods, tools/scripts for support structure modelling & load analysis.
- Develop scope & solutions by interacting with support structure engineers, foundation designers, tower designers, siting engineers, certification bodies and other relevant stakeholders.
- Guide a team of 3-4 engineers by providing technical support for the projects.
- Support specialists and senior specialists in the formulation and implementation of strategies for the development of the portfolio.
Qualifications
- Masters/Ph. D in Wind energy, Structures, Civil, Ocean, Mechanical, Aero, Computation or similar fields.
- Minimum 7-10 years of professional work experience in loads and controls, offshore structures.
- Experience in tools like HAWC, FAST, Flex or similar.
- Experience with aeroelastic tools like HAWC, BLADED, FLEX5 or similar.
- Experience in WTG modelling

- hydro modelling, loads post processing & reporting. - Exposure to standards and certification by independent bodies.
- Programming experience in Matlab, Python or similar.
- Exposure to machine learning is beneficial.
- Can detect and solve issues, improve processes, and share knowledge.
- Ability to network & collaborate with team members, motivate and guide them.
- Ability to handle global commercial stakeholders under time critical situations.
- Working with an inclusive & global mindset, readiness in adopting changing priorities & plans.
- Capable, motivated, ready to create positive change.
