Job Description

As a Junior Buyer, you will be responsible for supporting the procurement of materials and services namely for Frontend and Backend Process Materials, IT, indirect materials, etc. for our site in Villach. You will also work closely with experienced procurement professionals while playing a key role in ensuring the timely and
- effective supply of products and maintaining strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and suppliers.

In your new role you will:

• Implement commodity and sourcing strategies and carry out all procurement site activities to ensure the
  - term,
  - effective supply of products and services, especially Material and related Services
• Keep a close communication with both requestors and suppliers
• Assist in defining yearly goals and estimate market price developments
• Gain
  - on experience in negotiating prices and purchasing conditions for locally accounted commodities
• Support in developing optimal site contracts and agreements to contribute to the profitability of the company
• Engage in Supplier Relationship and Development to gain the best suppliers and guarantee an optimum supply chain
• Monitor and analyze the purchasing market to obtain and structure relevant purchasing market information and to foresee market developments
• Actively seek early involvement in sourcing decisions as well as contact with interface partners to recognize and support innovation
• Cooperate and contribute to cross-functional and
  - site teams and projects
• Report monthly/quarterly results to control purchasing activities
• Ensure alignment with Infineon’s Purchasing Processes, Guidelines and Working Instructions
• Risk management in your area of responsibility

Your Profile

You demonstrate a strong customer orientation that helps you to quickly establish successful
- operations. You are target driven and passionate about profit. You have a
- driven working style and are willing to take responsibility, being able to work independently and to structure your own work. Furthermore, you have excellent analytical skills that support your attention to detail and focus on delivery.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or similar field of studies
• At least 1 year of experience as a Buyer or a similar role in Purchasing/Procurement – ideally in an International Environment
• Good understanding of principles and concepts of Purchasing and good negotiation skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel – SAP is an advantage
• Fluency in English - German would be an advantage
