Role Overview:

We are looking for a Java Software Engineer to join our teams in one of the largest insurance groups in the world, present in 64 countries. Based in Lisbon (Hybrid).

This professional will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining different internal solutions.

What you will do:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based applications on cloud platform
• Collaborate with
  - functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
• Develop
  - quality, scalable, and secure software applications using Java, Spring, and other relevant technologies.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure that the codebase is maintainable, efficient, and adheres to industry standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and collaborate with other engineers to resolve complex problems.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, user manuals, and release notes.
• Stay
  -
  - date with the latest trends and technologies in Java, cloud computing, and software development.
• Participate in agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily
  - ups, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with Dev
  Ops team to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.

We are looking for:

• Strong proficiency in Java programming language, including Java 17;
• Strong
  - solving skills, with the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex technical issues;
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and other Java frameworks;
• Strong experience on Object Oriented and Functional Programming Java
  EE standards / Spring
  Framework;
• Cloud – containerization with Docker and deployment on Kubernetes;
• Experience on scripting (e. g Shell script) and automation is a plus;
• Fluency is English is mandatory.
