Job Purpose:
Ensuring the smooth running of Service Desk, and provide 1st and 2nd level support to global users.
Responsibilities:
- Point of contact for internal end users with complete ownership of technical issues while interacting and escalating with technology towers and external vendors.
- Take ownership of user problems and follow up the status of problems on behalf of the user and communicate progress in a timely manner.
- Support scoped technologies including Windows 10 Enterprise, Windows Server 2008/2012, Citrix Xen
App, Exchange, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 Suite and Azure. - Problem solving Network, PC/Server hardware and OS issues.
- Deliver operational tasks on incident, request, problem and change.
- Provide systems monitoring and systems testing as required.
- Follow and ensure that appropriate standards are adhered to.
- Follow the ITSM Incident, Request, Problem, Change, Asset and Knowledge Management.
- Collaborate with architecture and operations teams to ensure solution compatibility with company standards.
- Identify, screen and evaluate new solution opportunities to address unmet IT operational needs.
- Monitor computer networks for security issues.
- Investigate and resolve network and other communications incidents following NOC runbooks.
- Investigate and resolve security breaches and other cyber security incidents following SOC runbooks.
- Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure.
- Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause following security runbooks.
- Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a
- security standard. - Stay current on IT security trends and news.
- Follow
- wide best practices for IT security. - Support end user installs and troubleshooting of security software.
- Properly escalate unresolved technical and security issues to appropriate internal teams.
- Document technical knowledge in the ITSM (Service
Now) tool. - Provide recommendations on processes and fulfil new/revised solutions according to established standards.
- Participate in research and pursuit of new IT operational solutions and to evaluate the applicability and usefulness of current processes and solutions.
Requirements:
- Microsoft 365 Services certification.
- Windows 10 Enterprise administration certification.
- Network incident troubleshooting.
- Security Incident troubleshooting.
- Industry standard desktop applications.
- Knowledge of Windows Server 2008 / 2012.
- PCs, laptops, printers and peripherals.
- Strong team player with good
- solving capabilities. - Ability to communicate in a
- pressure environment. - Industry standard certifications.
- Fluent in English.
