IT Release & Quality Management
We are seeking an experienced IT Release Manager & Test/Quality Manager to lead release management, testing, and quality assurance within our global IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in ITIL best practices, Business Process Management (BPM), and Quality Management, ensuring that IT releases are
- structured, efficient, and meet the highest standards of quality.
This role will be responsible for coordinating software releases, implementing test strategies, and optimizing quality assurance processes to align with business goals. The candidate must be adept at process optimization, risk management, and automation, ensuring smooth IT service delivery in a global, enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Release Management
- Define and enforce the release management framework based on ITIL best practices, ensuring efficient planning, scheduling, and execution of releases.
- Develop and maintain the Release Calendar, coordinating activities across global IT teams to minimize disruptions.
- Collaborate with Change Management to ensure releases comply with established change control processes.
- Establish governance models and KPIs for tracking release success and stability.
- Implement CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) strategies to improve deployment efficiency and reduce cycle times.
- Conduct release readiness assessments and
- release retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy, ensuring rigorous functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
- Establish BPM-driven testing frameworks, optimizing test processes based on business workflows.
- Lead test planning, execution, and defect resolution, ensuring software meets quality and compliance requirements.
- Implement and expand test automation frameworks using
- leading tools. - Ensure test environments are properly maintained and aligned with production configurations.
- Define and track key quality metrics (e. g. , defect density, test coverage, release success rate) to enhance software quality.
- Foster a
- left testing approach, integrating quality checks earlier in the SDLC.
- Define and optimize IT service workflows, ensuring efficient coordination between Development, QA, and Operations teams.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and continuous improvement in release and quality management.
- Align testing and release strategies with business process goals, ensuring IT supports overall organizational objectives.
- Implement and oversee IT service quality frameworks, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e. g. , ISO 9001, Six Sigma).
- Drive initiatives for process standardization and governance, ensuring consistency in testing and release management globally.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Quality management, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT release management, test management, software quality assurance, and BPM.
- Strong understanding of ITIL framework (preferably ITIL v4 certified).
- Experience implementing BPM methodologies and working with BPM tools (e. g. , Appian, Pega, IBM BPM, or Camunda).
- Hands-on experience in enterprise quality management, compliance, and process optimization.
- Proficiency in release and ITSM tools (e. g. , Service
Now, Jira, Azure Dev
Ops, Git
Hub Actions). - Experience with test automation tools (e. g. , Selenium, JMeter, Load
Runner, Test
Complete). - Strong knowledge of BPM tools for process modelling and optimization.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and ISO 9001 principles for quality management.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience working in global teams.
- Ability to analyze complex IT processes and implement structured improvements.
- Excellent
- solving skills with a proactive approach to risk mitigation. - Strong documentation and communication skills, ensuring transparency in processes and reporting.
- Experience in mentoring and training IT teams on best practices for BPM, release, and quality management.
- ITIL v4 Certification (Release, Control & Validation module is a plus).
- ISTQB Certification (International Software Testing Qualifications Board).
- Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or higher).
- BPM Certification (e. g. , CBPP – Certified Business Process Professional).
- Experience in AI-driven testing, Dev
Ops, and SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) practices.
