We are SGF, and we are looking for a Performance Tech Lead to work for one of our clients in Almada (Portugal).

Requirements

• Bachelor's and/or Master’s in Computer Science or similar.
• 5 or more year of professional experience in Information Systems.
• Hands-on practice and knowledge in the following technologies:

Linux, Java, at least one relational Database (Oracle, SQL Server, Postgre
SQL or other) and technology architectures Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).

• Passionate and willing to dive into other technologies;
• Good level of English (minimum, B2 level).
• Willingness to travel.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Openshift and non relational Databases Mongo
  DB,

Cassandra, Elastic
Search, Redis.

• Experience with APM monitoring tools (e. g. New
  Relic, Dynatrace, App
  Dynamics, Datadog) and/or ELK stack
• Experience in troubleshooting applications in production environments (e. g. , Weblogic, JBoss, Databases, Java or similar technologies);
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project delivery, ensuring effective communication

with client stakeholders on project status, steering, and delivery quality.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical leader, providing guidance and expertise on project technologies and challenges to technical teams.
• Ensure that project outcomes meet internal quality KPIs and reporting standards.
• Participate directly in technical delivery, including:
• Conducting technical reviews of team deliverables.
• Ensuring the optimal performance of information systems, overseeing system stability and responsiveness.
• Leading the troubleshooting of performance issues, including metrics collection, log instrumentation, monitoring and incident tracking.
• Performing database auditing, query analysis, and tuning
  Conducting
  - depth application performance analysis, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing tuning measures to improve overall system efficiency.
• Collaborate with client and internal teams to proactively identify performance challenges and deliver solutions that enhance system performance and reliability.
• Provide mentorship to team members on performance best practices and advanced troubleshooting techniques.

We offer

Long therm contract (1 year with real possibilities to extend over time).

Salary range: 45-47€/hour.
