Tasks

• Further development and maintenance of the storage and backup infrastructure (IBM, Netapp, Dell/EMC, HPE)
• Development of proposals for changes and optimizations
• Collaboration in setting up or migrating storage or backup to a cloud environment and its support
• Independent monitoring, troubleshooting, expansion and optimization of the systems
• Working closely with other teams and manufacturers
• Driving forward the internationalization of the storage and backup environment as a Group standard
• Analyzing and improving performance as well as automating recurring processes

Qualifications

• Completed studies in computer science, business informatics or comparable training
• Good knowledge of storage and backup systems as well as SAN networks
• Experience in dealing with Unix/Linux OS and scripting desirable
• Knowledge of the planning, implementation and IT operation of IT infrastructures and backup solutions
• A high degree of responsibility and quality awareness as well as a quick grasp of the situation
• Good knowledge of English
