Responsibilities

Backup Appliances Management:

1. Design, implement, and manage backup infrastructure across the enterprise.
2. Install and configure backup solutions using Commvault or Veeam, ensuring comprehensive backup coverage for all systems, applications, and databases.
3. Develop and maintain global backup policies, ensuring consistency, security, and compliance with data retention requirements.
4. Regularly monitor backup performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure successful backup operations across the enterprise.
5. Work with business units to identify and support critical data backup requirements.
6. Automate backup processes and provide periodic reporting and performance metrics.

Enterprise Storage Appliances Management:

1. Install, configure, and manage enterprise storage appliances, including Net
   App, Dell EMC, and Nutanix systems.
2. Ensure high availability and scalability for storage environments across the enterprise.
3. Manage data replication and snapshot technologies to support disaster recovery and business continuity.
4. Design and implement storage solutions that align with the organization’s needs for performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
5. Develop, implement, and regularly test disaster recovery plans for storage systems, ensuring the availability of data in the event of failure.
6. Monitor storage usage and capacity and provide forecasts for future storage requirements.

High Availability and Disaster Recovery:

1. Design and implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions for both backup and storage systems.
2. Ensure the backup and storage environments meet enterprise recovery point objectives (RPO) and recovery time objectives (RTO).
3. Regularly test failover and failback procedures to ensure minimal downtime in the event of a disaster.
4. Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of backup and storage solutions with existing enterprise infrastructure.

Policy and Process Development:

1. Develop and enforce data protection policies in alignment with regulatory standards (e. g. , GDPR, HIPAA).
2. Work with compliance teams to ensure backup and storage solutions meet internal and external audit requirements.
3. Continuously review and optimize backup and storage processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance data protection.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

1. Collaborate with other IT departments to ensure seamless backup and storage integration with other enterprise systems (e. g. , databases, virtual environments, cloud).
2. Work with development and operations teams to understand backup requirements for new systems or projects and implement solutions accordingly.

Essential Skills

1. At least 5 years' experience in a similar role.
2. Experience in configuring and managing corporate backup devices with Commvault and/or Veeam technologies.
3. Experience with scripts, such as Power
   Shell, Python, or Bash.
4. Experience with enterprise storage solutions, including Net
   App, Dell EMC, and Nutanix.
5. Good knowledge of English.
