FINANCE DEPARTMENT

The Finance Department is responsible to manage, prepare, systematise and analyse the Group's financial and management information, enabling it to make financial reports, make payments to suppliers and ensure compliance with its tax obligations.

OUR PROGRAMME

The 6-month Finance program within Haitong Bank is the best way to prepare for a future role in investment banking having the opportunity to look deep inside Finance Department.

On this track, you will develop a wide range of knowledge and skills relevant in the three areas of the Finance Department of Haitong Bank – Management Information, Accounting and Accounts Payable and Tax.

The main tasks of the Programme main include:

Management Information

Involvement in the month end management information process;

Take part on monthly report to Haitong Executive Committee’s as well as to the Shareholder;

Be part of annual Business Plan elaboration process;

Support the preparation of revenues and cost analysis/control;

Support the preparation of performance analysis.

Accounting and Accounts Payable

Involvement in Haitong Bank Group, its subsidiaries and branches financial information;

Participate in the report of financial information to regulators, to the parent company and to the market;

Involvement in the accounting month end process;

Be part of annual and interim Report elaboration process;

Perform financial analytical reviews.

Tax

Participate in the Reporting duties to the tax authority;

Use IT tools and systems to collect client data and generate tax reports;

Involvement in the fulfilling the tax forms (VAT, stamp duty, withholding tax);

Support in analysis/validations of documentation to avoid/reduce withholding tax on payments to
- residents;

Tax account reconciliation;

WHAT WE EXPECT

A degree is a key requirement for the Finance track, preferably in Finance, Economics, Management, Econometric, Mathematics.

Experience in SQL, VBA or similar is a valuable skill. In addition, we expect you to take the initiative, to be eager to learn and to take a proactive, entrepreneurial approach, not only at the start but for the entire duration of your internship.
