What you’ll do

We seek an experienced Infrastructure Architect to design and implement scalable, secure, and
- performance cloud infrastructure solutions that power Vodafone TV. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in GCP and/or AWS, API design, platform security, and
- availability infrastructure design. Experience with TV and streaming platforms is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on GCP and/or AWS.
• Manage API gateways (Apigee) and implement API security best practices.
• Collaborate with Group Security to implement and support security assessments and ensure the platform complies with security standards.
• Support the TV Data Architecture Team by providing infrastructure expertise for the design of the new TV data ecosystem.
• Design
  - availability architectures for critical applications.
• Optimize databases (SQL and No
  SQL) for performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams on
  - native infrastructure best practices.
• Use Infrastructure as Code (Ia
  C) to automate deployments and infrastructure management.
• Define monitoring and performance metrics and KPIs.
• Ensure
  - effective cloud infrastructure by optimizing cloud service selection and minimizing operational expenses, while maintaining performance and security.

Who you are

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• Proficiency in English: Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken, are required to collaborate with international teams.
• Cloud Expertise: Experience with GCP and/or AWS with relevant certifications (e. g. , GCP Professional Cloud Architect, AWS Solutions Architect – Associate).
• API Security & Gateway Management: Experience with Apigee or similar API management tools.
• Platform Security: Knowledge of cloud and data security principles.
• High Availability & Scalability: Ability to design highly available and
  - tolerant systems.
• Database Management: Experience with SQL and No
  SQL databases, replication, and
  - availability architecture.
• TV & Streaming Platforms: Familiarity with media streaming infrastructure, content delivery networks (CDNs), and video workflows.
• Automation & Ia
  C: Solid knowledge in Terraform, Cloud
  Formation, Ansible, or similar Ia
  C tools.
• Networking & Security: Understanding of VPC design, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Experience with
  - cloud or
  - cloud environments (preferred).
• Knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, ECS) (preferred).
• Experience with observability tools (e. g. , Prometheus, Grafana) (preferred).
