Support station / Gateways operation on site, analyzing and developing improvement initiatives. Acts as a technical expert on complex and specialist subjects. Supports management with the analysis, interpretation and application of complex information, contributing to the achievement of divisional and corporate goals. Supports or leads projects by applying area of expertise.
What you will be doing:
- Prepare and monitor

- range plans regarding expansion procedures, staffing, equipment, vehicles, and products at the operations. - Assist in providing technical training to personnel in workshops, seminars, and

- job training sessions in areas such as operations, manning, contingency planning, productivity,
- effectiveness, and manpower scheduling. - Monitor productivity, service, and cost performance in all areas of operations and assist personnel in implementing required changes.
- Maintain communication between operations and corporate departments to provide technical expertise relating to facility requests, including lease termination, new location,
- year planning, equipment justification, layout, vehicle planning, and cost justification. - Assist in studies designed to implement sound, innovative engineering concepts into operations and thus produce benefits for Fed
Ex and our customers. - Produce operational business requirement specifications and contribute to business cases.
- Create and manage project plans; monitor and review project progress and timelines; adjust schedules and plans as needed.
- Present project development and results to upper management.
What do you bring with you:
- Degree or professional qualification in Industrial Engineering or quantitative discipline.
- Excellent command of English both written and spoken; Additional European language would be a plus (e. g. , German, French, Spanish, Italian).
- Strong analytical skills.
- High MS Excel skills; Formulas, Dynamic Charts, Macros.
- Programming skills (e. g. , VBA for Excel, Python, etc. ) are a plus.
- Data analysis skills (e. g. , SQL, MS Power
BI, etc. ) are a plus. - Project management certification (e. g. , PMI or PRINCE2) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or logistics is a plus.
- At least two years of experience working as an operation engineer in manufacturing or services areas, supporting operations areas, positions like Quality Engineer, Operations Engineer, Process Engineer, or continuous improvement engineers should cover this experience.
