A Snapshot of Your Day
On a typical working day, you coordinate and participate in internal and external alignment meetings during the execution phase of large power plant projects. You are responsible for selection, ordering and tracking of substantial spare parts packages until final
- over to the respective project management teams. Therefore, you screen project specifications and requirements to ensure a contract compliant spare implementation for New and Service Projects. As part of your daily business, you are in close contact with your internal colleagues to exchange project experience and share best practices.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Responsible for the successful and timely processing of initial spare parts for power plant equipment within New Unit and Service contracts.
- Clarify the contractual scope of delivery and align the spare parts packages based on technical recommendations.
- Initiate orders to internal and external suppliers via SAP together with the purchasing department and ensure proper order and delivery tracking.
- Responsible for project controlling and coordinate interfaces, deadlines and services with internal and external contractual partners and customers.
- Accompany the project with spare parts during the warranty period.
- Work in international project teams for large power plant projects worldwide.
- Education and Experience: Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience, coupled with at least 1 year of validated experience in project or proposal management in the power generation sector.
- Interest in Energy Sector: Strong interest in improving productivity, energy efficiency, and decarbonization within the energy industry, supporting the energy transition.
- Collaboration and Communication Skills: Focused, organized, and receptive to others’ opinions, with excellent communication skills; proficient in English (German is a plus).
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Windows, MS Office; familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
- Adaptability and Proactivity: Ability to adapt to various projects and teams, follow processes while being proactive, and incorporate new technologies or solutions.
- Cultural Sensitivity and Leadership: Demonstrated business insight, capability to lead project teams, and sensitivity to cultural differences when working with global partners.
In our Business Unit Generation, we offer a broad portfolio of innovative technologies, services, and solutions for centralized and decentralized energy production. Our team takes care of the spare parts processing of the initial equipment packages of complete power plants for new plants and service projects mainly within the regions of Europe, Africa, Middle East, and Asia.
These spare parts packages serve as risk provisioning during commissioning and ensure operation and plant availability during the plant's warranty phase.
