Health and Safety Technician (f/m/div)

As a Health and Safety Technician, you will develop and monitor EHS policies, conduct risk assessments, and deliver safety training. You'll lead the Safety Committee, investigate incidents, and ensure regulatory compliance. Additionally, you will perform ergonomic assessments and collaborate with global teams to maintain safety standards.
In this role, you will:
- Develop, implement, and monitor EHS policies and procedures in compliance with global company guidelines and local legislation
- Design and deliver training and awareness programs on workplace health and safety
- Conduct risk assessments and internal audits related to occupational safety and environmental compliance
- Perform ergonomic assessments and ensure proper workstation adaptation
- Lead the Safety Committee and act as the main point of contact for health and safety matters
- Investigate workplace incidents, propose corrective and preventive measures, and monitor their effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and report sustainability indicators
- Monitor and implement actions for energy efficiency and environmental performance, ensuring compliance with legal and corporate requirements
- Support emergency management and business continuity planning (e. g. , pandemics, environmental crises)
- Collaborate closely with global teams and internal stakeholders to align EHS practices and procedures
- Work alongside Facilities Management in selecting and maintaining safety equipment and infrastructure
With your exceptional analytical skills, you will adeptly solve complex problems and ensure thorough evaluations. Your strong communication abilities will enable you to convey critical information clearly and foster effective teamwork. Fluent in English, you will excel in collaborating with diverse global teams and navigating
- cultural interactions. Additionally, your ability to lead under pressure will ensure steady and decisive action during challenging situations.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- A degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably in corporate environments
- Certification as Safety Technician (CAP – Certificado de Aptidão Profissional, Level 6) – Mandatory
- Knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards
- Strong knowledge of local and international occupational safety and environmental regulations
- Analytical, communication, and
- functional collaboration skills - Fluent English for interaction with global teams
