We seek to our Mancomunated health and safety team which is responsible for all security and safety related issues of DXC Technology in Spain. The main task is to create and maintain a safe and secure environment for the locations, events and other activities of DXC and of its staff.

The selected candidate would be located in San Cugat del Valles, Barcelona.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate in the execution of H&S annual objectives & improvement plans in conjunction with site operations and H&S management.
2. Prepare and review the Risk Assessments of the workplaces and coordinates the Safety Inspections of the different work centers.
3. Manage proactively outsourced companies on H&S issues.
4. Monitor implementation of H&S Standards, legal requirements, regular audits, and inspections.
5. Assure emergency response programs are in place and in compliance with legislation.
6. Assist organization with implementation of an H&S management system.
7. Ensure awareness of and compliance with H&S and Fire Protection requirements by the organization.
8. Review and incorporate H&S standards promulgated by DXC.
9. Manage and perform the daily operations of projects, including: customer inquiries, program support, and communicating with local authorities.
10. Collaborate in H&S training programs and communications to targeted employees.
11. Collaborate in H&S programs that have
    - site/country-wide impact.
12. Responsible for maintaining management systems at sites (including documentation).
13. Investigate and report incidents, accidents and occupational diseases and follow all preventive actions.
14. Collaboration with H&S related Labour Inspections, including appearing in those Inspections as the H&S expert.
15. Attend worker’s council meetings and respond to worker’s counsel requests/issues (in locations where required by law).

Education and Experience:

1. University Degree.
2. Level of education required by local legislation to perform H&S position (Técnico superior con las tres especialidades preventivas [Seguridad, higiene, Ergonomía y psicosociología]).
3. Fluent English (both written & verbal).
4. Preferably auditor certification according to ISO 45001 standards.
5. Minimum 1 year of Health & Safety experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

1. Ability to take responsibility and ownership of the delegated tasks.
2. Excellent knowledge of local legal requirements relevant to H&S.
