- The Duro De Matar Lead Server is the representative of the restaurant to guests. Lead Servers are responsible for guiding guests through the Duro De Matar experience. Lead Servers are expected to give service that is knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful while upholding company standards and values in a busy,
- paced environment. This role will be responsible for overseeing & partaking in service and training FOH team members.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and guide guests' complete restaurant experience.
- Maintain proper flow of service while upholding service standards, product quality, and cleanliness.
- Assist in executing new restaurant initiatives and service protocols through staff training.
- Provide knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, and energetic service at all times.
- Cultivate relationships with guests to create return business.
- Support service team by troubleshooting any escalated guest issues.
- Drive and support the continual development of FOH team members by upholding performance expectations, providing ongoing feedback, and offering input for regular performance reviews.
- Execute FOH team member training programs as determined by Management.
- Oversee daily reservations.
- Maintain full menu knowledge for both food and beverage items, including all allergen information.
- Adhere to all company service standards and protocols.
- Stock and prepare
- related items. - Maintain professional and warm guest communications.
- Recognize key people in the industry, VIP guests and contacts related to the company and follow company protocol related to their visit.
- Communicate respectfully and clearly with service team and management.
- Support team members in the completion of their duties to ensure satisfaction of all guests before, during, and after service.
- Engage management for any escalated guest situations.
- Adhere to grooming and dress code standards.
- Assist teammates to anticipate all other FOH needs.

Required Qualifications
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude, as well as a desire to learn, grow, and develop new skills.

- Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve guest conflict.
- Willing to accept guidance in a positive manner and implement the direction in a way that is productive for both you and the team.

- Ability to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability in a constantly changing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Server, Captain, or related role in a restaurant with a comparable service style.
- Ability to train new Servers in all aspects and responsibilities of the role.
- A proven track record of dependability and a continuous focus on learning and development.
