Human Innovation Partners is looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Software Development to lead and manage their software development teams at their software factory in Porto. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of software development, architecture, and management. The ideal candidate will drive the development of innovative solutions, working closely with Product, Infrastructure/Security, and Consultancy teams.

- edge products across various domains, including:

• Mobility-on-demand solutions;
• Products for used car management and
  - sales services;
• E-commerce solutions;

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and mentor software development teams.
• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to delivery.
• Collaborate with
  - functional teams to develop applications for Mobility and Automotive fields.
• Work closely with project Dev
  Leads to ensure
  - quality software products.
• Define software development strategies, standards, and best practices.
• Ensure project delivery on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to translate customer requirements into software solutions.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

Technical Expertise

• Broad knowledge of Object-Oriented Languages.
• Understanding of building and hosting backend services.
• Expertise in software development, architecture, and best practices.
• Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS and Azure.
• Proficiency in Agile practices and frameworks (Scrum or Kanban).
• Knowledge of Dev
  Ops principles and CI/CD tools.
• In-depth understanding of Software Development Life Cycle phases.
• Experience with software testing strategies, including unit, integration, and system testing.

Requirements

• Strategic thinking with the ability to align software development goals with overall business objectives.
• Strong
  - building and mentorship skills.
• Expertise in managing expectations and communication across internal teams.
• Proficiency in English (mandatory); French or German is a plus.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in software development.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven extensive experience in leading and managing software development teams.
