The Head of Operations will oversee the
-
- day operations in Nord Pool, ensuring efficient, reliable, and secure trading activities, onboarding and incident handling. This role is critical in driving operational excellence, managing risk, and implementing strategic initiatives to support the growth and sustainability of Nord Pool. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in energy markets, operations management, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee the daily operations of Nord Pool, ensuring seamless and efficient trading activities.
2. Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance performance, scalability, and reliability.
3. Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
4. Work closely with other Power Exchanges and Transmission System Operators in Europe to further develop and operate under the European processes agreed in close cooperation with other internal departments.
5. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
6. Collaborate with the IT department to implement and maintain robust trading systems and technologies.
7. Build and maintain strong relationships with market participants, regulatory bodies, and other key stakeholders.
8. Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
9. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve operational performance.
10. Follow and secure performance and monitoring with appropriate dashboards, reports and tools.
11. Develop and implement emergency response plans to address and resolve operational disruptions.
12. Ensure clear, efficient and concise communication towards external and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Master’s degree in Engineering, IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Experience: 5 years of experience in relevant fields.
3. Leadership: Proven track record of leading and developing
   - performing teams.
4. Analytical Skills: Excellent
   - solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make
   - driven decisions.
5. Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
6. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a
   - paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
7. Technical Skills: Having a strong understanding of energy markets, trading systems, and regulatory frameworks will be a clear benefit for the candidate.
