Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the Humanities department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement a dynamic,
- centered curriculum aligned with the Cambridge International Curriculum. - Support and mentor 9-10 teachers within the Humanity Department, fostering collaboration and continuous professional growth.
- Encourage innovative teaching methods, including active,
- based, and
- based learning. - Connect Humanities subjects to
- world applications, enhancing student engagement. - Promote interdisciplinary learning, linking History, Geography, Global Perspectives, Sociology, Psychology, and Business to global and local issues.
- Support students in extracurricular activities such as Model United Nations, entrepreneurship initiatives, and community projects.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages student achievement.

We’re seeking an experienced and inspiring leader who:
- Is passionate about Humanities subjects and dedicated to student success.
- Has strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and support a team.
- Brings expertise in teaching Sociology, Business, or Economics using
- centered methodologies. - Is motivated to connect education to
- world challenges and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). - Values collaboration and thrives in a diverse, inclusive, and caring school community.
- Wants to support students in initiatives such as Model United Nations, Duke of Edinburgh, and
- led projects.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Humanities, Sociology, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- A recognized teaching qualification and substantial teaching experience.
- Experience with the Cambridge International Curriculum or another international curriculum.
- Previous experience in a leadership or coordination role within a school setting.
- Strong classroom management and curriculum development skills.
- Experience with active,
- based, and
- based learning methodologies. - Fluency in English (proficiency in Portuguese is a plus).
- Digital literacy and a willingness to integrate technology into teaching.
- The ability to build strong, supportive relationships of equal worth with students and families.
