Head of Software Engineering - Porto – Flexible hybrid working.

Salary up to €100, 000 + benefits

An exciting senior leadership opportunity has arisen within a dynamic business at the forefront of engineering product innovation. As Head of Software Engineering, you will take charge of the company’s Software Engineering strategy, overseeing the development of software used for Autonomous Vehicles in both the EU and UK.

The Head of Software Engineering will be leading software engineering teams across multiple disciplines, and experience in delivering technology in Vehicles, Robotics, ROVs, AUVs, or similar products is required.

In this role you will:

• Develop and implement software strategies aligned with business goals and technology roadmaps.
• Play a key role in organizing and managing separate product teams, fostering collaboration across departments.
• Lead and mentor
  - performing teams in web, cloud, and desktop application development.
• Drive innovation and ensure best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation.
• Optimize data processing and analysis solutions for operational efficiency.
• 3–5 years + experience in a team leadership role – multiple team leadership is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead and deliver complex software solutions within Vehicles, Robotics, Automotive, or similar environments.
• Background in modern technology such as Python, C++, C#, or Java. AWS, GCP, microservices architecture, etc.
• Comfortable implementing and leading Agile/Dev
  Ops best practices.
