Head of EICS Service & Operations Management
Job Description
You will be accountable End to End of Nokia’s IT infrastructure compute and Cloud services, delivering professional grade service management, and ensuring Business Continuity for the computing layer of critical Nokia’s Applications and Services.
It includes the following groups of services provided to Nokia business units: Infrastructure as a Service (Iaa
S, physical/virtual/cloud), Storage as a Service (STaa
S), Platform as a Service (Paa
S, databases/middleware), Infrastructure Tools as a Service (ITaa
S) and Nokia-owned or collocated Data Centers.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
The role includes:
- Managing the entire operation lifecycle of computing and cloud services, remediating security or end of service life risks, ensuring effective decommissioning when appropriate.
- Owning the operational performance: demand/change requests, incident management and RCA approval, capacity planning as well as SLA management with vendors.
- Ensuring financial performance, cost effectiveness, cost forecasting.
- Closely collaborating with the Engineering team as well as our key suppliers who are ensuring the day to day operations (including supporting 24x7 critical incidents resolution and subsequent RCA work).
- Governance of our third parties, service KPI/PI, monthly billing validation, security scorecard, monthly patching, continuous improvement processes.
- Supporting Nokia internal or SOX audit remediation, ISO audit and recertifications.
- Creating and maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity plans for all
- premise and cloud computing services. - Ensuring
- party providers implement Nokia’s required security and compliance measures in a timely manner. - Acceptance and takeover from engineering, projects and demand execution for existing Services.
- Leading a team of around 20 infrastructure engineers and Service Owners, encouraging innovation – in particular through AI, collaboration, empowerment, people development.
Key Skills And Experience
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure leadership roles, with a focus on
- scale enterprise environments. - Solid technical background in On-Premises computing infrastructure and Public/Private Cloud architectures (in particular Google, Azure and AWS platforms).
- Strong knowledge of networking, storage, virtualization, and cybersecurity.
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse and multicultural teams and manage complex projects.
- Strong sense of collaboration and alignment with
- functional teams. - Ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
