We currently have an opening for a Head of Data Science to lead our Data Science team and help us create and drive scientifically grounded intelligence across multiple areas such as recommender systems, risk modeling, and pricing. This team is also expected to be the pivot for AI for the organization.

You will be responsible for:

• Managing our data scientists by providing the necessary tools, mentoring, and tracking development plans.
• Driving business value by leveraging your understanding of Universo and our customers to identify the most valuable areas for data science to make a difference.
• Leading Data Science innovation by taking ownership of
  - edge AI and machine learning solutions, directly influencing the future of how we serve our customers.
• Enabling close collaboration with Universo teams to discover new ways to enhance our products and integrate ML models into our systems.
• Proactively managing assumptions, taking calculated risks, and anticipating potential issues by planning deliverables and orchestrating resources accordingly.
• Ensuring operational excellence by measuring efficiency, AI regulatory compliance, and
  - effectiveness while ensuring your team’s solutions run smoothly in production.
• Enhancing the external presence of the Data Science team to attract new talent.

If you have:

• 5+ years of experience with data science, at least 3+ in managerial roles.
• Strong leadership skills to build, manage, and inspire a team to do their best work.
• Solid grounding in machine learning, AI, and advanced analytics.
• Comfort with Python, SQL, and cloud platforms, enabling you to ship data science solutions to production.
• Deep expertise in the technical architecture of
  - scale machine learning systems.
• Aptitude for thriving in ambiguity, breaking down complex problems into actionable steps.
• Proven expertise in stakeholder management and fostering strong relationships.
• Excellent business understanding to drive informed engineering decisions.
