The Global OT Technical Manager collaborates closely with production site OT teams and global application owners to design, implement, and manage the lifecycle of OT applications across various levels. The role ensures that all systems adhere to global standards, operate at optimal levels, and support evolving technologies and users’ requirements.

The manager works in partnership with IT infrastructure teams to ensure that network and hardware elements supporting OT systems are appropriately adapted, monitored, secured, and fully operational. This role also provides expertise and leadership in process automation projects, system improvements, and equipment lifecycle management. By sharing knowledge, offering technical support, and driving technical workstreams, the Global OT Technical Manager plays a key role in delivering successful Greenfield and Brownfield initiatives.

Your day at Ferring

• Analyze and Optimize Systems: Evaluate new and existing OT applications and systems to identify necessary updates or improvements. Ensure optimal performance by analyzing business needs and recommending hardware, software, or connectivity solutions.
• Asset and Documentation Management: Maintain an

  - date inventory of OT assets (including their condition and criticality), network architecture, and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Design and Standards Enforcement: Lead the design and integration of automation systems, ensuring adherence to global standards. Act as the
  - maker for exceptions to these standards.
• Teams Development and Support: Build the capabilities of OT engineers and technicians through training programs and
  - sharing. Provide tools, procedures, and resources for effective
  - and
  - level support.
• Collaboration and Integration: Partner with global and local engineering teams to develop and implement standards for OT systems and equipment. Support local teams in integrating new systems into existing environments with detailed planning and technical guidance.
• Cybersecurity and Compliance: Collaborate with IT to support cybersecurity initiatives. Define and implement security policies and ensure compliance with OT-specific security standards.

Behind our innovation…There’s you

• Bachelor's degree with a preference in Computer Science or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Min 5 years’ experience in an operational IT/OT/Automation position with a good understanding of pharma, chemistry, and food industry within an industrial company.
• Experience in Application integration and Manufacturing Data infrastructure management.
• Deep
  - on knowledge of major Io
  T / SCADA / Historian Software platforms and solutions. Practical experience in implementing and maintaining them across Production.
• Good understanding of Process Automation, Production IT.
• Strong analytical &
  - solving skills.
• High commitment and
  - oriented.
• Good communication, good leadership, organized & proactive approach.
• Teamwork and
  - oriented.
• Fluency in English.
