About the Role:

We are seeking a German-speaking Safety Checklist Contractor with VCA certification to join our team in Oeiras. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of workers and compliance with safety regulations in the workplace. You will conduct safety audits, assess potential risks, and provide valuable feedback to ensure a safe and secure environment, especially in construction and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct VCA safety audits for contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures to minimize risks
  - site.
• Provide guidance and support to workers and contractors regarding safe working practices and the proper use of safety equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all local and international safety standards and regulations.
• Monitor and report safety performance, ensuring that safety protocols are being followed.
• Prepare and conduct training sessions on safety standards and emergency procedures.
• Assist in the implementation of emergency response plans and assist with any accidents or incidents

• Collaborate with site managers and other team members to ensure a culture of safety is upheld at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Fluency in German (C2 level) is essential for communication with German-speaking teams.
• VCA certification (or equivalent safety certification) is required.
• Previous experience in safety management or as a safety officer in construction, industrial, or similar sectors is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify safety risks.
• Strong communication skills to effectively train and guide workers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Problem-solving skills to address safety concerns quickly and effectively.
